Pagan is one of those words which can be taken a number of ways depedning on the exact context....a number of different dictionary definitions are
"One who worships false gods; an idolater; a heathen; one who is neither a Christian, a Mohammedan, nor a Jew...."
However the rise in Wicca has caused some confusion with this word as some practitioners/believers in Wicca will refer to themselves as Pagans.
So in one sense Zeus (etc) are Pagan gods.... but not necessarily in the same way that a Wiccan thinks of 'pagan'.
But to get a bit deeper - the greek, roman, norse, celtic gods were all just 'humanified' faces of natural aspects in the life forces that early peoples saw around them; volcanoes, lightning, wind.. etc. So those worhsipping the roman, greek etc gods were basically nature worshippers but just with the natural force given a human aspect.

Not exactly - I was trying to illustrate that Zeus can be taken as pagan (little p), not necessarily as Pagan (capital P).
It depends on the context - and the beliefs - of the person concerned.
