after you filter out all the burning, fire, suffering, pitchforks, and shit like that, what the bible (or whatever) really says is that hell is a GODLESS place.

well this is simple, were in hell now, anyone see any gods lately? i think we start out in hell, and death is the ultimate suffering, then we go to heaven no matter what, just the after life, which is pretty much exactly like this, only without death, and with gods. i think we start out in hell to pay for our real life, after this. there are many problems withnthis theory, and theres a ton of problems with all theories, but i like this one. it answers alot of problems in the world. the main thing about this is why do we have to pay to live?

Theory in common moron terms, or are you attempting to compare it to scientific theory, such as thermodynamics and gravity?

By those definitions, you're using layman's terminology. Scientific theory is just an explanation of scientific law. For your hell theory to be scientific, there'd have to be a law of hell to some extent.

Why would you use a scientific theory to justify a religious belief? Aren't science and religion conflicting in nearly every aspect?

Not really.

I suppose they might, if you really try to be antagonistic.

Being as one is physical and one is pure conjecture of the metaphysical, there can't be conflict unless you purposefully force conflict into it to satisfy some basic need for chaos.

Science generally answers the questions of who, what, where, when and how. Philosophy and that sort tends to answer why, and so long as it stays in the why territory, there is no conflict. It's when you apply metaphysics to the very physical questions that bullshit arises and you become delusional.

According to the tenents of the catholic church:

Hell is the only Godless place. Thus, it follows that everywhere else in the universe is in fact in the presence of God. Hell, also is not fiery(as per common belief), it is cold, for warmth exists only in the presence of God.

So the catholics go against a very firm passage of the bible which states that there is fire in the depths of hell?

I dont see how people can belive in the heaven and hell after life. Im looking at this from a christian view of salvation. What happens to a baby that dies in child birth or SIDS or something? Do they go to hell because they were not saved, thats hardly fair a baby can't comprehend salvation. Or does the baby go to heaven automaticaly because of age if so when do them get to decide there afterlife destiny? Also, what about someone who has never heard of Jesus? Is the way to salvation more broad then the christians make out.

In my view these questions completly undermine the belife in heaven and hell. It seems that doctrine is completly incompatible with a just and mercyful God. Then again mabey God is just a sadistic knob crusher.

No, only the very core(the central city of Din if you will) of hell is cold.

Babies who die with being baptized go to Purgatory for a little while. People who have not heard of Jesus also go to Purgatory(contrary to Dante's opinion, in which he says they go to an outer circle of hell in his allegory "The Inferno")This part of the Catholic faith makes sense.

I have a theory that you're a mental midget incapable of typing up a grammatically correct sentence of more than five words. Plus, you spelled Hexadecimal incorrectly. Master the language if you expect people to consider you studious at all; otherwise, you will find yourself being ignored a lot due to the knowledge that illiterate people are generally uninformed douche bags with low self esteem and a love of childish grudges against perfectly logical situations.

Hell is a plane/dimenson(? probably not) where it's cold and barren where you fight demons and attempt to repay for you sins?

Probably not but still..

Seraphal, I've said the very same thing you're saying now. You and I have hinted on the very same understanding of hell.

I'm so very surprised that Rust, Hex, and Ashes hasn't jumped down your throat. As they've done mine.
