so... what is it? what's the consensus? what is God? what is divinity? what is the meaning of life? what is the secret to achieving nirvana? what is heaven?

I know the answer, do you?

let me pose the question thusly... what is the greatest emotion?

So much for revealing the answer.

Love by any chance?

In my personal opinion:

"so... what is it"

- Allan Watts said "This Is It". I believe it. So, "it" is "this".

"what's the consensus?"

- The consensus is the product of the mental masturbation of a verbally incontinent majority.

"what is God?"

- Time in physical form; or - without getting too scientific and going on a huge rant - Existance with a capitol "E".

"what is divinity?"

- Peace.

"what is the meaning of life?"

- To wonder what the meaning of life is.

"what is the secret to achieving nirvana?"

- An open mind. But, to be purely open minded. Not like accepting possibilities, but to be truly open minded to everything.

"what is heaven?"

- A state of completion and/or enlightenment.

"I know the answer, do you?"

- Why don't you grace us with your infinite wisdom, then?

"let me pose the question thusly... what is the greatest emotion?"

- Currently, I'd say love with humiliation being a close second.

Cheers,

Lost

Beany got it right. not love, loving. for the simple fact that love in action has the absolute certainty that love in theory lacks.

and loving lostcause specifically is the height of ecstasy as far as this topic is concerned, because lost adds so much to totse.

I reckon the importance is not humanity having love or being the lover. Rather, what is important is that humanity is the loved...

The purpose of life is non existant, unless you're feeling creative, at which point you'll know.

You need to explain yourself once in a while. For the newbies of course http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)

If your life's purpose is for it to not want to think up a purpose then you get exactly that. I'm gonna go play with my coloring books
