assuming you believe in a God. in the americas, up till the middle ages, not one person heard of Jesus. so, did all of the people who died in that time go to hell? i have a hard time accepting that. i think God tried to reach people all accross the world. his word has been broken up into tons of different religions. um, what i just typed may not sound consistent but ok.

Hmm now where did I read the analogy. Something about 3 men who claim to have seen a diamond. 1 says the true diamond has a tint of red in it. The other says "no, no, no". The diamond has a tint of green in it. "You guys don't know shit" said the third "It's blue and I know this for a fact".

But there in the corner sits the forth man. The wise man who knows the diamond is every colour.

Well, Islam/Jewdaism/Christianity all do claim to belive in the same god. They just have different opinions on what god wants from us.

As for people who lived before jesus, i've read a few different things. One is that if they were people who trusted god's word, they got in. I've also read that Jesus vistited their souls somewhere (i forget) and gave them al a chance to believe in him.

Christianity only exists because life without purpose was unbearable to man. Man believed in a Creator and an afterlife long before Christianity was established.

The going to hell if you don't believe in this certain God theory is just one of the many elements which undermines Christianity/followers.
