The most powerful attachment you have to give up before you become spiritually enlightened, is your attachment to your breath. This is the final chord that you must sever that holds you to the physical world.
When you realise that you are an eternal soul and you don't need breath to survive you can stay in the spirit world for good.

Shit no, I'm way off, but if you think about it it makes sense.

Just wanted to share a realisation (true or not).
Make of it what you will.

Well a lot of Chi development has to do with the way you breath.
Breathing into your gut as opposed to your chest.

Yeah this is something I've been practising. I'm gradually becoming more interested in the breath and how it's effected in certain situations.
I've been wondering something along the lines of how, if you breath from your chest, when you experience intense situations and your heart beats faster and your chest feels tight, your breath is restricted and so the lack of oxygen makes it harder to handle the situations. But if you breathed from the gut then there would be no tightness to make the breaths shallow..... or sommat.

Yeah, I'm a singer and i breathe from my gut because you can hold more oxygen. But that's the real kicker: oxygen. Your cells need oxygen to live, breathing isn't some tether holding us back anymore than life is a tether.
