we are all bound by the laws of physics

except god, so proof of god would be something happening wihich breaks the laws of physics, simple as that

Smee says:

except the univesre istelf it would seem

Daniel says:

as so far there is no concrete evidence for anything ever having broken the laws of physics

the universe defines the laws of physics

Smee says:

u do know that a univesre popping into existence breaks the alws of phyiscs?

Daniel says:

the universe didn't 'pop' into existance

Smee says:

and God can exist in cerptare states...he can be totally independent of teh alws of physics

Daniel says:

it was more of a 'squelsh'

if god can exist outside the universe and is infinate, then we would still be waiting for the universe to begin!

the universe as as much right to have always existed as god.

If I saw something that violated the laws of physics, I'd be much more likely to assume that there's a problem with the laws of physics than that a god exists.

Of course, if the stars in the sky rearranged to say something like "God exists" or I was struck by lightning in my basement with a clear sky outside while posting atheistic messages on the 'net, that would be pretty powerful evidence for [Gg]od(s|).

Perhaps the stars in the sky spell out "God exists, you morons, isn't it obvious?", only its written in the dialect of a intelligent species that lives on the other side of the universe and see a completly different sky to us? Just a thought.

And perhaps, be some freak accident, if one sits in a particular locations somewhere in the universe the stars will spell "Stars don't exist."

Possibility isn't that big of a deal, probability is.

Haha, that's an interesting idea.

Maybe everything spells out "God exists", but is only understandable by top class minds.

Existing outside of existence is kind of an incoherent oxymoron.
