Allright, so what if "God" created Earth. What if us humans were to discover intellegent life on another planet??? Did God do that? Do they go to heaven/hell? About evolution... Why is evolution impossible if the human bone structure has altered over the last 10,000 years... About jesus... What if he were to take his first communion? would he just explode or something because he is eating/drinking himself. Oh yea, why are there blacks/whites/"gooks".... evolution?? and lastly, adam and eve. All males would be the same since traits are carried on the male y chromosone.... Therefor according to adam and eve, there shouldn't be whites/blacks/"gooks". ONE MORE THING, whos god is the real god you know? If it is justifiable to kill some one in the name of x's god, WTF? appocolypse now methinks.... well, thanks for listening to my horrible grammer.

SHIT I forgot the most important point of all. This pisses me off. The only reason 90% of people believe in something is because they're parents made them go to church and they were brainwashed before they could think for themselves sigh...

The bible is writen in paribles to be confusing, and to be retranslated in the future to cover for any questions that may arise.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth

Genesis 1:1

See, hey covered their collective asses on that first one.

You ask too many questions, obviously it is not the right religion for you, so maybe you might want to seek a diffrent one, and leave the poor christians alone.

Evolution only describes the development of life and is a fact. The point of contention, which evolution does not explain, is how life got there in the first place. Abiogenesis is what we are concerned about in this case.

Well, according to genesis god created the universe as well so if we found intelligent life on another life then yes, biblically speaking god created them and they would go to heaven/hell.

oh, so you were brianwashed and birth too? you are one of these people who think they are 'free' ... and you make all your decisions for yourself...

I hate it when people are brianwashed at birth, and don't even try to accept something else

Thanks lostanddisillusioned. Atheism may not be a "religion" per se, but it is surely an ideology with traditions that are often passed on to children even just in the additude of their parents. Therefore it's just as guilty of having blind followers and close-mindedness.

To answer the threadstarter, If god created everything then yeah, other life forms would be created too. A better question is "Did Jesus die for their sins too?" and thats more damning to christianity as a religion. That being said: it hasn't happened! Also, your question on evolution is not compelling. Natural Selection in my opinion is a real phenomenon. Parents pass their traits on to their children and all that. However, I've yet to be proven that Natural Selection accounts for shifting in species. I don't believe evolution to be impossible, at least in the relatively short term, but i don't believe humans came from apes. Why do we still have apes if Natural Selection has pushed them into us? I can think of an arguement for that, but it doesn't convince me. The Jesus communion thing is just silly, i'm not going to comment on it.

I think natural selection accounts for skin tone as well. I think it has to do with location on earth. To answer your question about who's god is correct, my god is correct because that's the one i believe in.

I hope someone smart like Craftian comes on here and elevates the discussion on this thread because you haven't made new arguments, or even refined or compelling forms of these arguments.

Have you taken biology? You inherit half of your genes from your mother. Everyone knows this. Plus, why would the Y-Chromosome be exempt from changing? It's not. That's why people "evolved" to fit theit surroundings.

Sorry about not sticking to topic, but I am anal about these sort of things.

I got suspended from school when I was 13 for asking..

me http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)o people exist on other planets?

them: I don't know?

me:I don't think they do, because it would be a waste of life, to go directly to hell.

them: Why would they go to hell?

me: Cause Jesus didn't live on their planet

Don't mormons believe that when you die you become Jesus to some other planet and have celestial sex for eternity, or is that just hear/say?

Natural Selection works by organisms adapting to their environment through mutation over long (usually)periods of time.Apes and Homo Sapiens came from a common ancestor.Homo Sapiens Did not evolve from Apes. There is no reason for Apes not to exist, because they are a viable life form for the environment that they adapted to.The ancestors of Homo Sapiens adapted differently due to different environment.

I realise that this is a very simplistic explanation, but it explains why there are several surviving species/subspecies of many different creatures. For example, lions and tigers share common ancestors with the common cat. They all still exist because they adapted to whatever changes in environment they were faced with.
