I have figured out the problem with atheist/christian arguments. The problem is that the Christians (or the majority i have met) can only see in one direction, that of their god. Now this is why it may seems that so many atheist seem mad at them, the fact that they will not open their mind and see that they might not ALWAYS be right. But in the same case the same thing might be said about atheist too...So I guess that what we need to do is try and work together for once....
Sound right to you?

Yeap. The same thing can be applied to loads of things people argue about. Arguing in general really. I think it comes down to too much pride and arrogance in our own opinions because people love being right and hate being wrong. So people cling on to the belief that what they've chosen to believe in is right, and are very reluctant to realise that they COULD be wrong. Especially if they are presented with a strong argument against their beliefs which they cannot really argue against. Some people get more stubborn when that happens. It's human nature cos kids do it all the time. It's much better to have an open mind. That way you can't lose cos there's nothing to lose.

Well said, friend.
hmm all very well said. just to elaborate though: using christians isnt really a good example of being to closed minded. not in defence or anything but just thought id mention that to be a true and good practicing christian(i dont consider myself one) you cant believ any other way is right. or even may be right. the rules of the religion are pretty clear that its the only way.
