Do any of you know anything about this whole thing,(www.milkmiracle.com) I was reading about it earlier, and even to my cold, dead atheist heart, it does seem to cross my perceptions of reality... if you see what I mean.

Views/Opinions/Theories?

Some will tell you it was trickery. That the stone is very porous and it absorbs the fluid.

Other will tell you that god has gradually manifest within Ganesh after years of worshipping.

Which belief would make your life better?

"Better" is irrelevant. It's stupid to believe something that is untrue (or unsupported).

A belief isn't guaranteed to make your life better, but YOU always can.

loz: most religions have miracles they can point to. If you accept Hindu miracles (without real backing, of course - and a website doesn't count) then you must accept Christian miracles and Buddhist miracles and Inca miracles, and you're right back where you started.

Yes, but it's the videos of it happening that have me befuddled.

The ones on that site aren't very good, but I was watching a actual video of it at school today, and it really does fuck with me a bit.

There's statues of Jesus that bleed and probably statues of Mary that lactate.

It's a pretty common miracle.

An arguement I remember:

With so many things going on in the world, war, famine, disease, suffering, the best miracle god can come up with is a statue that drinks milk.

So I personally do not want to celebrate this even if god himself did it. I would prefer that the people who are suffering have their sufferings ended in an appropriet manner (I neither deny nor accept that this is pointing towards death or killing).

Actually, there are statues of mary that are supposedly able to cry tears of blood or just normal tears.

Sorry if I'm wrong, or if I offended anyone.

I remember something in the news about the statues actually being hollow with people inside creating the effect.
