Well for the most part I believed that I was an Athiest and I had no belief in a god. I know the word Agnostic, but I never new the meaning until about a year ago. I find myself to be an Agnostic more than an Athiest. I feel that not believing in a god, but knowing something is their is better than not believing in a god at all.

I am agnostic because I accept that I, nor anyone else, can thoroughly support theism or atheism enough to sway me either direction. IMO, both sides are a bit ignorant. You MUST view every debate from both sides and seeing that neither side can prove much of anything, then why take a side at all?

Heh, when it comes to religion viewing it from two views is just as ignorant as viewing it from one. Expand your horizons and realize that theism is just a massive lumping of thousands of separate viewpoints into one generalization based on the mere belief in a supreme entity. Also, there are atheist religions. When debating religion, it's good to know all the major viewpoints, and even better if you know a good portion of the more occult viewpoints as well.

Uh, that is not an agnosic belief. I don't know what it is, some kind of half-assed theism, maybe. Agnosticism is believing that you cannot positively say that there is a god or that there is not a god.

What? A religion is a system of worship of a god/goddess/set thereof. So how can you worship something that you don't think exists?

a religion could also be " a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith"

256, so Buddhists aren't religous simply because they are atheists? They still believe in souls and all that sort of stuff, just no god.
Buddhism isn't a religion, for that very reason. It's a philosophy.
A genuine Buddhist told me so.

Being a Gnostic, I feel compelled to respond. I do not believe in god--I maintain that the less you believe, the better off you are. On the other hand, the more you know, the better off you are.
I KNOW god, we talk all the time. I get messages from god often, not always in words. Of course, this raises the obvious question, how do you know this is god talking, not some other spirit or just random voices in your head.
This si easy--god is love. Any message that is grounded in love is from god. Besides, as a professional shaman, I have had lots of experiences with various spirits and entities over the years.

What this dude said is amazingly true, religion exists to explain the unexplainable, but why should we try to explain what can't be explaned
