What exactly is your perception of hell (if you have one)? The common thought among people is a place of eternal torture and such... I was watching a show about hell on the history channel awhile ago and they interviewed a few priests/ministers (of different christian denominations) and they all mentioned that no where in the bible does it talk of torture, it uses the word torment. They all gave the idea that hell was pretty much a free for all. The torment part is being seperated from god, but there is no real physical damage, or torture or any kind, going on in hell.

What do all you think?

Personally I dun believe in a hell, but if there is one, I like the idea mentioned here...

I tend to see it as a state of mind as much as a place, the regrets of life and sorrows that infest the soul multiplied my a million to create unexplainable ultimate misery.

Hell, I feel was best described in greek mythology. Were someone pushed a rock up a hill for all of eternity.

Basically living your life, then dieing and finding out you've done the exact same thing 27 times already and you are forced to do it again till you get it right. Only when you come back to the same life you have no memory of it, so you do the exact same thing as the time before that. That, to me, is hell.

From my understanding of theology, the best explanation of Hell is being totally removed from God's grace.
