I'm not sure what you mean....
The last person who identified himself as a Sumerian, or actually spoke the Sumerian language died several millenia ago.
But since this is the religion forum, I think I can safely assume you mean the Sumerian religion. Well, I don't know of any modern followers of an extinct and vaguely understood religion. I'm sure there might be some fringe groups who probably don't really know what they're doing, who try to idolize Marduk or Ishtar. But...blash.

Let's say it like this: If you live in Japan and are born in Japan it's something about 90% chance for you being a Budhist (did I type it wrong?) or Shintoist. But you can still be a Christian if you belive in God and Jesus. Can you still be a Sumerian even if you're not born in the right country and the right time?

Race doesn't determine religion, or there are a lot of confused white people out there. Christ was a jew I believe.
