give me one reason to beleive in god.or give me a reason not to.
I suggest you find this out for yourself. I don't mean this in a sarcastic way or something, I think it will be much more interesting if you do this.

Why would WE feel special for you believing? We're not trying to win you, you're not some awesomely special person who is valuable beyond price to us.
YOU give ME one reason to give you a friggin reason, eh?
Sorry about that, but don't be a bloody moron.

Here's a reason to believe: religion contradicts reality a great deal of the time, causing cognitive dissonance many many times. If you're one of the lucky humans with an easily bullshitted brain, your brain returns to consonance now believing in the happy and safe religous thought rather than the depressing truth, practically eliminating the chance of an unhappy life.

i think hex gave you a reason not to believe hidden in one to believe.
i'm not sure where to start because i dont know you or your background, so i'll just refer you to one website.
this website gives many reasons to believe. the problem with this approach is that you will be starting from a different person's decisions and findings.
my suggestion is to start by reading the bible (or maybe a bible study group).

No, I actually hope he ends up believing. People are generally much happier when they believe. Whether their beliefs are true or not, I know that I was much happier when I was a theist. Yes, I was drowning in bullshit, but it made me happy.
Think for yourself, thats my reason not to believe in "their" god.
And you still have some things to work out if you can't make yourself happy without god.
believing in god is really up to you. you don't have to, bcuz there is no point in beleving in something when your inner-self tells you it doesn't exist. see i believe in god, cuz i was brough up in a strict Christian home....

Do both. Believe in god, and don't believe in god.
It just depends on how you look at it and what your definitions are of the words "god" and "believe".
In fact, that is what god's message is to you: that there is no final belief or answer. That is the only final belief. That is god.

May I suggest starting by finding the smallest thing in your bedroom and staring at it for about an hour?
See what you feel.
People who believe in God or who are spiritual live longer. There is one reason (even though you commanded an answer in stead of asking one you fuckin bitch...Just kidding).

I'm rather doubtful of that. Statistics?
Xtreem5150ahm that website sucks. All that website talks about is wacky psudoscience trying to prove why the bible is right and science is wrong. Where on that site is reasons to believe in god?

* For the overall population, the life-expectancy gap between those who attend church more than once a week and those who never attend is more than seven years, favoring those who attend (the Population Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin).
UC Berkeley researchers have discovered from a survey of Department of Health data that people who go to church regularly tend to live considerably longer than those who do not attend church or some religious assembly.
I also herd something about it increacing you life by 7 years.
I can't remember where I herd this first ,but thats what I found when I searched for five min.

"Churchgoers" are also less likely to not drink, smoke, use drugs, have premarital sex, or unprotected sex...

Haha, not sure about the sex part.
Statistics are just that... statistics. 7 years a drasticly longer time? If it said 20 30 years ok but 7 years is close enough to simply be coincidence. Kinda falls into an overall average.

Not really, but religion may not be what is making you live longer it just be the tendencies of religious people to do certain things because of their religion, such as: not commiting suicide, and also the things Rust said:

Believe in god because apocalypse is coming.
I agree that 7 years can just be that they would do less, but still that isn't much.

how many did you actually read, or did you just read the topic headings?

Some people it would some people it wouldn't. Personally I would rather die in 7 years than right now. How about you (not trying to prove my point or anything, but just wondering)?
I'd rather live a year than die now..

Yup, catholic schoolgirls are whores. But I'd say that those of them that go to church every single week (those were the ones studied) aren't that predisposed to opening their legs...
