a modern day satanist is a person who belives in them selfs as gods who control there own lives and destiny and think no one else can they think there equal to myths of gods

almost like atheist

worshiping fresh not spirite living there life in paradice before they die having all the good feelings and other things that are considered sins and even plesure is a sin but the fresh needs to be plesured to

I myself am a Spiritual Satanist. You can't just *be* a god all of a sudden. You have to spend years, lifetimes for some, doing daily meditations to ever acheive godhood.

Your not a satanist by being able quote afew lines or by being able to do afew rituals. That's like saying movie stars are witches if they play a witch role in a movie, or calling them catholic if they play a priest. Satanism is a way of life, a way of thinking, a way of doing things, a philosophy on who you are, what you are, what you stand for, and where you belong in the hiearchy known as life. You can say your a satanist, you can quote afew words and do afew rituals, but untill you truely see things in a new light you are not but an actor taking part in a role you wish to be your own.

I disagree with you there. If Satanists and other religions become quiet, then relgions such as Christianity gain more power then they have now. I'm not saying it is a good thing, nor am I saying that is a bad thing, I'm just saying that without satanism and other religions we would all be seeing things from one limited point of view, while with other religions able to express themselves and practise their rituals we can see different sides of society, culture, human mentality, philosophical idealisms as well as being able to see just what it truely means to be a human. Besides, alot of society has directly and indirectly been influenced by Satanism and all it's divisions. From the internet to how totse it's self is has all been influenced atleast at one point by Satanism.

To those thinking I posted in this thread origionally to do the same thing of which I quoted but not on the same level, I want to state I did not. I just came to state that just because you call yourself something doesn't mean that you truely are that thing. It's like saying your a midget when your 7' tall, it just doesn't work that way.

Words that can be applied to any religion, not only to satanism.

pyronatas, why did you post this thread? To tell us you're a satanist? I doubt someone really cares if you are one, or if you are not.

One of the beleifs in satanism is that if you boast what you have, or lie about thigns you wish you had, only to make others wish they could me liek you, or have what you hae, or even have done what you say you have it will make you superior to others by making others feel inferior... by prasing himself as his own God gives him a sort of advantage over the comon man(woman) around him, because everyone would hope to be a God one day, although most know they wont, knowing one is a God creates a sence of awe towards him... in other words, he has low self confidence, and is trying to use his religious practice to make him seem better than man

Yeahy, but if you just wake up one day say, "OK, I'm a God now." It doesn't make you a god, it just makes you look stupid to everyone else, who knows that they aren't gods. I don't think I know anyone who aspires to be a god one day. That's just fucking ridiculous.
