I don't understand so many religions say if your not like them they are damned, but actually the enviroment you are born into 90% of the time decides what religion you will be. It all comes down to charismatic converts.

hmm... I believe the parents are responsible more than environment.

At least if was so in my case. Most people are christians in my country (over 90%), my mother is a christian, my father is an atheist.

Me and my sister weren't baptized. When I was a kid and heard stories about hell, devils and sinners, I was very afraid because unbaptized are supposed to go to hell. I even wanted to get baptized to "save myself".

Once I asked my parents why me and my sister hadn't been baptized, they told me that I would choose a religion myself if I want to, when I am an adult.

I think that was right and that is right. I am happy I didn't get baptized and I am not a christian.

My parents gave me a choice and prevented me from doing stuff I would later regret. I thank them for that.
