A literal reading of genesis has the origins of drug control clearly defined. When the serpent is questioning Eve about what god said regarding eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Eve said god told us not to do it because on the day we did eat that fruit we would surely die.
The serpent told Eve that god knows she would not die. God knew that if she ate the fruit her "eyes will open and you will become like god knowing good and evil."
So everybody knows that Eve took some goodies home to Adam and they both got high and their eyes opened and they knew good and evil. God was a tad upset because Genesis says ealier god brought Adam and ERve into the Garden of Eden to work it, and there was definitely no hint that Adam and Eve were there to kick back and dig the good life.
So god clothed Adam and Eve and sent them on their way. He did make the comment that it was a good thing that they didn't eat from the tree of everlasting life. So god put some max technology to guard against intruders, humans , from entering the garden.
The fruit of the tree of knowledge effectivley ruined Adam and Eve from maintaining their status as slaves. God just got another set of humans and everybody went on their merry way.
God, or as some have concluded, alien miners, was more than a god. Remember when god was talking and said "let us make man in our image"? It sure sounds like one entity talking to a gathering doesn't it.
The bible references many of the big names lived for 1000 years or so, Moses, and Noah come to mind.
The worst case scenario: Some of the original players are with us still.
The current drug prohibitions are enforced much more severely than the simple banishment of Adam and Eve. Hell god could have whacked them for all we know. The point is that the consistency between original drug laws and current laws are in place for the same reasons: to maintain a large obedient rather mindless slave force, also providing a huge purchasing source, a necessary economic expediency in controlled market places.
Do you think wars and the insanity that we ascribe to man's ignorance are perpetrated by mankind? Check it out: go ask Alice.
