The above links contain two of the many version of Native America creation legends that have paralels to the story of Noah from the Bible.

ie. Global Flood

Animals being sent out to find land

My Question is for those people who belive the Bible is a literal representation of history.

Do you acept these storys as suporting evidence for the story of Noah? In doing so you would also have to admit that a pagan religion contains valid insights into the world.

the great flood happened because of a pole shift that happens when the 12 planet passes by earth on it's 3600 year orbit

I have a pretty big report 've been working on relating to the biblical flood.

I've found that nearly all culturs or religions that make any reference to a flood are either people who are near great bodies of water,rivers/ or, people who at one point crossed a great area of water. which would explain why some native americans have flood tales.

historicaly speaking, a global flood did not happen, however, going strictly by the Bibles accounts, at one point, there was an extremlity huge flood that would have happen right near where the Noah flood was to have happened. It's not that at all hard to think that to the primitive people living in small cities grouped together, that a flood that big would have seemingly covered the whole world.

POLE SHIFTS ARE SCIENTIFIC AND HISTORICAL FACT. AND THE FACT THAT THEY CAUSE EXTREME WEATHER CHANGES IF FACT. EVEN GLOBAL FLOODS AND ICE AGES. ALL SORTS OF THINGS.

To everyone who feels that different cultures having flood stories is evidence for the literal interpretation of noahs ark.

1. How does that make the particular Noahs Ark story right? Couldn't this be interpreted to mean that any of the other flood stories are true?

2. Of corse there are lots of flood stories. Ancient people didn't know what we know about weather, why do you think there are so many weather gods? If you dont know why it rains, you make up a reason. Some cultures make up gods to be in charge of rain. Which of corse rises the question "if that particular god was pissed off, could he switch it on full and drown us all?" And then, based on that question, you make up a new story, about a huge flood that happened when that god was pissed off.

At least thats my thoughts.

The fact that the secular world also reports a great flood is not surprising. And yes, they can be taken into account. You are assuuming that what people write isn't true in comparison to the Bible. The Qu'ran and other ancient tomes have some truths in them. The question is whether or not it is or isn't divinely inspired. So the fact that other cultures also tell of a flood story is all the more a compelling reason to consider it as a possiblity. We know that weather changes can cause such occurances, so why deny it? Plato wrote of a city called Atlantis that was evetually flooded. The list goes on. Believe it or not, the Bible is extremely accurate in a historical sense. Whether you think it has anything to do with your eternal state or not is irrelevant. The Bible is a masterpeice, written over centuries of time. If it wasn't divinely inspired, then it is the single greatest hoax of all time. The mere fact that were discussing it is evidence of that fact. Whether it be real or a hoax, pay your respect to God or the men who penned this genius.
