i am not a truley religious person, but i beleive sonething we cannot explain is out there. something that is responsible for humans. i have some conflicts beleiving evolution, but that does not mean that something created the universe and let it thrive.
but i think of it as this: of all the unexplainable phenomena, for example; ghosts, near death experiences, messages beyond the grave, etc. if only one of these particular event happened and actually did involve a god or some being that is responsible for life, then that would mean there in fact is a "god" meaning a ultimate being and even perhaps a life after death. but that leads back to faith and whether thats what you want to beleive, but thats how i think of it.

I think most of them are true, and they can all be explained well if you use "the conscious universe" as a basis, and your connection to it.

Wow, no takers....
Personally, I think, Science will stumble upon the realm of the "SuperNatural". They wont call it "The Supernatural" but a "Different Plane" or "Dimension" what have you.
But full aknowledgement of this new reality will never fully be given....even if theyre able to measure it! This would destroy Evolution as a Philosophy, after all, it took these guys years to build Evolution to joke it is today.
Im a member of a Local Ghost hunting group that investigates this stuff.

Wow.....
I hope you're joking man cuz there's believing in something then there's just being an illogical fool. Even if there were ghosts I don't see any reason for them to be hunted.
As for the original post it looks like you're thinking for yourself and taking a look at the big picture while your at it. I like that. When you start looking closer (like the connections beany referred to) you can notice all the infinite beauty around you. The game of round and round, infinite lives intertwining in a symphony of blissfull and lamentful moments. It's beautiful

What does finding an alternate reality have anything to do with evolution? finding an alternate dimention(or reality)simply means that there is another plane of existence for man to study and formulate new ideas about, or it may allow them to further the theories and concepts they already have. The whole THEORY of evolution(at least you're not referring to it as a religion here)deals with the growth of of mankind and his surroundings. The whole idea of a different reality would only fuel scientists to look deeper into evolution. To see if it works the same way in a different existence as it does here. In a sense, i guess alternate realities COULD deal with evolution, but that is only a side bar. Finding different dimentions would neither prove or disprove evolution.
