I mean you would sort of think that some atheist who doesnt believe in heaven or hell would be more likely to kill you with a baseball bat than a christian fanatic.

Yes, there are fools like that in every institute, religious or not. Some people just need to be ignored.

I always felt that the aspect of most monotheistic religions where they threatened you with "or else" (or else being damnation, etc.) was what turned me off the most.

I mean, I always figured that if a religion was legitimate or founded on universal principles of morality, it could at the very least win my support without having to throw a veiled threat in my direction.

And I thought Christianity was supposed to be about love. Christ!

I'm what they label an "unbeliever" but I find myself to be quiet happy and successful. My belief is a near perfect combo of science, hundreds of theories, and what I have experianced in life.
