So, whats your favorite?

Mine is Ecclesiastes, I can really empathize with the writer, and some his words really ring true for me.

The Bible? How uncool.

I like Revelation - it's the most far-out and freaky; doom-laden and yet movingly positive (for the elect, that is).

I also like the slightly scary bit at the end about anyone who changes any words of this book being ... or having ... happen to them, I don't remember it.

Mine is Revelations because most of it is yet to come, and maybe i'll get to see alittle "history in the making".

I like studying Leviticus. Christians believe it to have been written by Moses, but the psychological profile of the writer appears greatly different from the other books he supposedly wrote. It makes it interesting when you're entirely unsure of who the author might possibly be.

The book of enoch is quite interesting and lays the principles for much of christian mythology. The funniest thing is, its not a cannonized book, yet it still exerts this influence.

I cannot narrow it down to just one...

Here are my favorites:

Acts, Romans, and Matthew.

My favorite used to be Revelations, because I couldn't wait to get off this planet, and this book in particular holds all of the promises and prophecies of what is yet to come. I have recently become more focused on how to live THIS life more peacefully (internally), and in embracing/enjoying Jesus' scriptures and parables of love.

There is little control over what will happen to me once I am in Heaven, so I might as well focus on what happens to me here, and that entails understanding Jesus' promises for me, and how I am supposed to apply them to my life. The three gospels I mentioned personify that to the utmost, in my opinion.

Genesis, because it's the only one I've read any of (as in, out of a bible, and not a random quote... http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)). http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)
