one of my favorite verses is first Corinthians chapter 13...

i used to live in Green Bay, Wi. near Reggie White's house. I got an his autograph on a hat, and he has this verse as part of the autograph. I was unfamiliar with it, so i looked it up and loved it ever since.

Which made a another favorite mean so much more to me... John 3:16

May i ask what Bible you got that from? Because Ezekiel 25:17 says:

"I will carry out with great vengeance on then and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I take vengeance on them."

Eeeewwwwww! I didn't know the Bible had awesome stories involving sex and alcohol. Plus, that's bullshit that he was asleep when his daughters were doing him, something like that would wake you up no matter how much wine you drank. Plus, how is he supposed to get it up if he's knoucked out?

You make it sound like I would have to be a complete, drooling idiot not to believe in the Bible. It is not compelling evidence, in my opinion. First of all, how do we know the work is actually the Word of God, not just the myths of an ancient religion? What about the thousands of books that were left out of the Bible, how did we determine they were not the "Word of God", but the others were? Did God hand down a list of the books that should go into the Bible? No, the early Catholic Church decided which books made the grade. In order to believe in the Bible, you would have to ignore some fairly important questions that need to be answered.

Also, if Christianity is the one true religion, why do other religions exist?

Do you truely believe that everyone else who has a different religion than you is wrong and that you (Christians) are the only one that is right?

One of the main reasons I left Christianity was because I perceived Christians I knew to be extremely narrow-minded and intolerant people, despite what they said to the contrary. Everything was black or white to them, there were no gray areas. I'm not saying that all Christians are that way, or even that a majority of them are that way (that would be a sterotype), just my perception of the religion.



But, I'm not trying to convince anyone that a religion is right or wrong, believe in whatever you want to believe, because in the end, no one is going to convince you otherwise.

I believe you mistook that for which I stated. I meant the latter of the sentences for which is posted to pertain to the quote for which is at the beginning of the post.

And yes, I do know what a concubine is.

Edit: Had to fix the bold within the quote.

Addition of the bold default, as well as the origional from the aforementioned quoted text created a problem where it(the bold) ended prior to the ending of the quote.

My favorite passage is found in Psalm 137 verse 9................

"happy are those who take your babies and smash them against a rock" - more modern translation bible

Either your just picking and choosing what parts of your sacred text are actually sacred or you are excusing this passage as something unnoteworthy.

Note "ALL scripture is ..... useful"
