a rich guy up the street from me was in nam for a while. over memorial day weekend this year he hanged himself. he went to a church for about 2 months before that. he left all his property, all his money and his expensive cars to the church. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE ALL YOUR SHIT TO A FUCKING CHURCH?!?!?!?!?! when i die i may give a suitcase bomb to a church, thats about it.

I'd be more interested in why he hanged himself.

I know this is incredibly bad taste, but how many vietnam vets does it take to change a light bulb?

At the end of the day it's about personal choice, if the guy wanted to leave his money to the church he can.

Well if he's talking about the catholic church, they have more money than god. They don't need anymore funding for their pedophilic asses. I live In Portland, if you haven't seen it yet, the archbishop of the diocese of portland filed for bankrupcy, but these child touching bastards won't even count their land and buildings in their assets. My mother is catholic and I was/am being raised as one, as I go to a catholic school and have most of my life. So I am pretty damn well versed in the dogma.

Maybe he doesnt like the church because he realizes the primal fears that it plays on. Maybe he doessn't like the church because he's been disenchanted with it, Big Grey haired God, sitting upon his throne of gold watching over us doesn't work for him. I know that most of you don't see him like that, but that is the way he is conveyed in most churches.

vietnam was truly fucked up, my family saw both sides of it. My pops is vietnamese and was a guerilla warrior for his village against the north for 2 years, he pretty much straight lived in the jungle for 2 years. and on my mom's side (Irish/german) many of my family memebers served. My dad saw his village get torched by american napalm, his friends and family get executed by american guns, the women get raped by american G.I.'s, his homeland ravaged by american Agent Orange, generations of vietnamese children geneticall fucked over as a result of these chemicals, yet he still fought against "those bastard communists" (as he puts it in a drunken stupor). funny thing is, he is now in the american army.
