I don't know if I'd say it's uninteresting. In north India at the time of the Buddha, there was a philosophical group of hedonist materialists called Lokayata. (There should be a little line over the first "a", but I don't know how to do it on here. Also, if anyone knows what that "little line" is called in Sanskrit, please tell me!) Anyway, I've always wanted to do more research on them and their philosophy, but I haven't had the time.

No the subject itself is not uninteresting. The way he was trying to put it forward as "Hey guys look at this cool thing, heheheh, we can get fucked up and stuff, hehehehe, YAY! MASTURBATE!!!!". That's what's uninteresting.
