1st, the Topic is "faith".
2nd, the Poster of the topic asked "why".
in other words, "Why faith?", but if you can not handle that, then prove to me that man made God, and not the other way around.
"Complete stranger"? At the beginning, this would be the purpose of faith. After you start to have a relationship with God, then that part of faith isnt needed (or rather, needed less), but then a different aspect of faith begins to grow. This aspect is similar to "two friends growing in their friendship".
