Do you think that God posts on Totse. If so who would he be?

You found me out, my Son. Ascend to heaven and wine and dine with me. After that, we will take the virginities of 10,000 women without popping a single Viagra pill, that is the glory of heaven. Then, we will do battle for our pleasure with Thor and Odin, who live across the street in Valhalla.

Then, we will rest for 10,000 earth years, because even I, the Almighty, must rest after all of that.

Sorry, I'm in a facetious mood today.

I would explain anything to you, Surah.

If I didn't care about where you go, I wouldn't bother. I wish you wouldn't see me as the enemy... http://www.totse.com/bbs/frown.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/frown.gif)

Anyway, they are Hebrew and Aramaic names for God.

Elohim - A name for God in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Adonai - Lord. Used in Judaism as a spoken substitute for the ineffable name of God.

El Shaddai - The Omnipotent. The name of God in frequent use in the Hebrew Scriptures, generally translated "the Almighty."

God bless. http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)

A song I grew up with (it's VERY beautiful when "heard"...much might be lost upon "reading" it)

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

El-Elyon na Adonai,

Age to age You're still the same,

By the power of the name.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

Erkahmka na Adonai,

We will praise and lift You high,

El Shaddai.

Through your love and through the ram,

You saved the son of Abraham;

Through the power of your hand,

Turned the sea into dry land.

To the outcast on her knees,

You were the God who really sees,

And by Your might,

You set Your children free.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

El-Elyon na Adonai,

Age to age You're still the same,

By the power of the name.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

Erkahmka na Adonai,

We will praise and lift You high,

El Shaddai.

Through the years You made it clear,

That the time of Christ was near,

Though the people couldn't see

What Messiah ought to be.

Though Your Word contained the plan,

They just would not understand

Your most awesome work was done

Through the frailty of Your Son.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

El-Elyon na Adonai,

Age to age You're still the same,

By the power of the name.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

Erkahmka na Adonai,

I will praise you 'till I die,

El Shaddai.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

El-Elyon na Adonai,

Age to age You're still the same,

By the power of the name.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,

Erkahmka na Adonai,

I will praise you 'till I die.

El Shaddai.

An Ezra is a hebrewic priest of the old times.... What is God, really, if not the first hebrewic priest?

Back in my church going days El Shaddai was one of my favorite songs. I was in several choirs over the years and no matter how many times I sang it, it always sent shivers down my spine and made me feel...deeper.

I can totally relate.

It's one of "those" songs...brings me closer to Him, every time.

Nice to meet a fellow choir person. http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)

Ok, but the Hebrew version of that is believed to be too sacred to say.

In English, that certainly applies.

Also, singing Amazing Grace to the Gilligans' Island theme was pretty cool too.

The hardest I ever had to do was Handels Messiah - talk about work! But when a Choir sings it well, it can really fill a room.

Furthermore, when I asked God His name, He said, "I AM" - and I said, "gee, I AM TOO!"

there is no god.

and even if there was, he wouldn't post on this board... that's a stupid question...

then again, i guess he should, like, be able to do anything, and we couldn't understand his reasoning anyways, right? so maybe he does...

but which one of us would he be??? digital_savior, maybe? that name would fit, but it's too obvious... surahahriman? nah, he's a buddhist i think... rust? he's definitely bright enough, and his arguments seem to have no end... maybe it's me!!! what the hell does eil mean anyways????

God can't post in this forum, its not mentioned in the bible and therefore doesn't exist...
