I think that everyone here, no matter what theistic values or belief system, has respect for Digital Savior.
I personally have alot of respect for you in your strength of faith and your patience with everyone here. Also because you are a clear minority as a true christian, among extreme and the bishop.
Anyway, every once in a while you mention things about your past, especially your spiritual past.
This interests me very much. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind posting some kind of memoir or just story about your past especially your spiritual journey.
Feel free to make it as long as you want.
Or if you'd rather not, just say so and I'll delete this thread as soon as I see it.
DS is definitely the most intelligent and rational person on this forum, even in spite of my disdain for Christianity. She's always at the forefront, willing to defend her faith from both empirical and 'logical' arguments, and morons that repeat the same arguments over and over again with a phenomenal amount of patience.
Hail Digital_Savior!

Wow, guys...thanks. *blush*
Tribe, I would be more than happy to.
There are several different viewpoints I can approach it from, however.
Would you specifically like to hear my testimony as a Christian, or all of it (my life) together ? (I have experienced spirituality of several flavors, even before I was a Christian)
I can provide a seamless timeline (which might prove very long and boring ! *lol*), or I can be more "Christian-conversion" specific.
It's up to you.
And to be fair, I would like to hear back from you, in the same capacity. (how you came to the path you now follow)
I am sure everyone would benefit from "other" participation, aside from my own.
And thanks for asking...you're a doll.
God bless.

DS is the best Christian I have ever encountered. I've never met one who understood their religion as much as she does. Not to say I won't argue any point she makes that I disagree with to the death, but I actually have some modicum of respect for her.

*blows a kiss to Surah*
I know that almost killed you to say that. http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)
I respect your ability to MAKE ME THINK.
Though I am pretty educated about my faith, I MUST accept that I will never know everything about it, and continue my quest for that knowledge.
It is difficult for me to accept the fact that simply because I don't have "every" answer for "every" question, doesn't mean God doesn't exist.
I feel very burdened to provide the answers to all questions about God, and the legitimacy of the Bible. (Pride ? Ambition ? Irish Stubborness ?)
Honestly, I can't...but I sure will try.
I believe ignorance is a demon...it is the destruction of mankind. Those that don't understand God, don't believe in Him (and rightly so).
Anyway, thanks for saying that Surah. I know I haven't always been able to respond to you (out of the sheer volume of posts I must reply to), but I hope you realize that I want to.
Anyway, God bless.

Much respect as well even though there are many disagreements.

Thanks, Kelto.
Disagreements are okay...so long as they are respectable (which is an adage even I can't seem to adhere to ALL the time).
I have learned just as much from YOU all, as you may have learned from me (whether we agree or not is irrelevant).
And if that is the ONLY thing that has been gained from my presence here, then I am satisfied.
Best case scenario is that I see you all in Heaven. http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)
I have always been a lofty dreamer.
God bless you and keep you, Kelto.

Yes, in spite that I do not particularly like xianity, I have respect for digital_savior. She makes you think and even if you don't give her respect she gives it to you.

I, too, feel a deep respect for DS. She's definitely 'a diamond in the rough,' and I feel honored to have commenced conversation with her.

You're the best, Digital!
Seriously, as people have already said here, I admire you for your conviction in your faith.

Ok, guys...you're making it very hard NOT to indulge in the sin of pride !! http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)
*laughs out loud*
Needless to say, if I did not have the love of Christ for you, I could not be here day after day (or every other day, or once a week...*lol* I haven't been as diligent as I'd like to be)
I truly care where you go once you die, and that is my only purpose for being here.
I do, however, get a bit "pissy" now and again when I am attacked personally...which I have to ask forgiveness for. I shouldn't, but I just can't help it sometimes. *shrugs*
Anyway, you guys have been great (for the most part) and I am a better person for my experiences here with you.
I hope that our dialogue can continue.
Social, you have been ever patient and kind in your perspectives (at least to me), and for that I want to thank you. Amidst the wolves, you have remained a constant water of renewal.
I can't say I find Buddhism to be particularly fulfilling spiritually, but you wear it well, and certainly seem willing to educate yourself about it, which is more than can be said of most people in this world.
So...
Enough mushy stuff. *grins*

You overshot.
"You're cool." would have been sufficient. *LMAO*
Thanks...I haven't had too much experience speaking with you, but I look forward to it in the future.

And I will supply the information this thread was intended for, when Tribe gives me a more comprehensive explanation of what he would like to "hear".
This has surprisingly become a "Digital_Savior-petting-party" thread, when it wasn't really intended to be. (way to hijack a thread in a POSTIVE way, guys ! *lol*)

Digital you know more about xianity than 99% of the people I've talked with. Unfortunately for myself I barely have time to read totse, let alone write a decent argument. That's what being in college is all about....well if you actually take difficult classes that is...

Ok Digi, I wanted to hear about your spiritual life path. So start when you had your first big spiritual realization (not christian necessarily, but spiritual in general). I want to hear all about the buddhist, "dark stuff", etc. things that you were into and how you came in and out of those "phases". Feel free to throw in things that were happening to you at that time, for example talk a little about your high school years and college and whatnot.
Thanks.
I want to hear about how she decided upon Christianity as the one she devoutly believes in now, and some reasons why, as compared to other spiritualities.

Wrong you are sir, and this thread blows.
The only person here that I have respect for is Dark_Magneto. Digital_Saviour is no one special.

What a curious thread. I guess it shows we're not all agenda pushing assholes with closed ears.
Regardless of whether you love or hate her you have to respect that fact that she's not the usual Jesus loves you and that's all I have to say about that christian. A degree of her faith is "blind" faith (and indead what faith isn't? It's kind of tied in already linguistically) but she thinks it through and draws conclusions.

Well I always seem to argue with DS but I can never remember what we argue about so I suppose it doesn't matter all that much.
And yeh, post your life story.
she DOES have a hard time around us sometimes... http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)
never tired to defend her point of view against an army of sceptics.
