ages and ages ago i asked my mum why we had bees because they annoyed me.

she said because they pollinate plants, but if you think about it its like, why are plants so important? so we can eat and breathe. why are we here? if you think about why everything's here most of it loops back to us, so why are we here? to keep all that stuff going? because we dont, we just use up all the earth's natural resources, and the earth helps us do it! anyone got any ideas?

were here to survive, simply put.

think about it, why do we reproduce? to survive

why do things evolve? so it can adapt to its new surrounding to survive. why do people bother with religeon? so they think they can live after death. we keep using the earths resources because we use them to live and thats why were here, just to live, live for what? no one knows.

what bugs me is the point of religion...it's just there so people think they have a meaning and/or purpose, when, from what i've gathered, there is none, we just live, and die, and rot away, it doesnt matter what you believe, if we have a spirit or soul or whatever, in the end our bodies'll just rot away and there'll be nothing left, if we do everything just to survive, why is the best aim in life death?

My theory is that religion was created by man so he would stop asking himself these questions. When religion is around, he can always just proclaim "god says so". This lets the man make more effective(as far as natural selection is concerned) use of his time and work toward reproduction. Thus passing on not only his genes, but also his invented religion to his offspring. It seems that evolution is not just genetics :-)

However, just because the beliefs that this man and his offspring have are efficient, this does not mean that they are correct. Religion is the easy way out of the most difficult questions that any being will ever face.

Wise men accept the things they cannot comprehend as a normal facet of their lives. Fools ignore that they exist.
