Is it just me or does that seem psuedo-oxymoronic? The very concept of Zen can't neatly fit into a box, so how is there to be set rules to follow?

I'm Zen Buddhist, just like my dad. I sometimes go up to Omaha with him to the Buddhist temple there and do zazen (http://www.mro.org/zmm/meditation/), but mostly I do it at home.

I'm actually writing the first EVER book to describe Zen and it's ways with scientific precision!Not even buddha could do that..

Well, I'm glad this thread is doing well.

I'd like to study Zen and its nature, but, from what I've heard of Zen, it's impossible to do so simply because of the nature of Zen.

The Tao is pretty much the same way - obnoxiously and infuriatingly ambiguous.

I think learning the Tao comes from not studying it.
