I am a christian , and I'm sure this has probabbly had a million threads about it already. However, I was wondering if anyone does support homosexual marriges in the church? And why?

I support Gay Marriage in america because the US is not a Christian nation. I believe a church that agrees to marry a gay couple can, and if a church doesn't want to they shouldn't have to.

Honestly, i think Marriage should be defined as a religious ceremony and therefore the government should not perform "marriages", if the government wants to provide benefits for commited couples, it should do that under "civil unions" or whatever. Then people can get "married" in whatever church that agrees to.

That being said, I do think homosexual sex is a sin and i do not condone or support it.
