god went from a vengful, destuctive towards anyone who did anything he didn't like. to my knowledge no way to get into heaven cause man is inperfect. then god's son died for our sins and then we can just ask for forgivness and boom you can get in to heaven

this sounds like two diffrent gods to me thus man created god

You're leaving out an awful lot of other gods.

I've actually been reading up on this quite a bit lately. I reccommend that anyone interested in this topic should Google Laurence Gardner. Some very interesting works.

Most that I have read deal with the many misinterpretations in the Bible. For instance, the bloodline of Jesus Christ, the true meaning behind the Holy Grail, and the actual translation of the events between Cain and Abel.

Dealing directly with this topic, he also discusses two different Gods from ancient Sumerian texts. Enlil (Jehovah, Yahweh), the God of Wrath and his brother, Enki (Lord, Adon) the God of Fertility and Wisdom.

Supposedly it was Enlil that brought the flood and destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Enki, on the other hand, supposedly set up the escape strategies for humanity. Essentially, Jehovah wanted to stop any and all progress of the human race, but Adon was determined to have us prosper.

Anyway, I'm rambling from memory here, so I'd suggest that you take a look at Gardner's works.

That's not a new thought... it figures that man believed God into existance to explain things that they didn't know about. It's like Santa, if you have enough belief than the *object* will exist.
