After seeing that gay Virgin cell phone commercial, I wondered what the hell Agnostic was... a simple google search reveiled that being Agnostic was just the religion I was looking for. After 17 years of being a Roman Catholic, I found it to be the answer. Anyone else heard of or follow this religion?

It's not a religion. It's the default setting.
And what virgin mobile commercial used such a sophisticated term?

Agnostics don't necessarily not know what to do. They sit in the middle because there is no evidence. Not a single fucking shred.
Now, myself, I'm an atheist hellbent on logic. For me, the complete lack of evidence is enough to assume no god exists. Just as the lack of a second cock on humans is enough evidence for me to believe that males are just supposed to have only one...no reason to believe otherwise. For me to be agnostic, I would need to see evidence that isn't quite compelling, but enough to pique my mind into thinking a god may exist, but may not.
Yeah, I think that weak atheism is the default position. I'm not 100% sure that say, the Christian god doesn't exist but I disbelieve in it for the time being. Same goes for ghosts and whatever other fantastic/supernatural claim.

I dont think being atheist is anything to be happy about. Being atheist is actually quite depressing. I, in my search for truth, somehow convinces/proved to myself that there was no god. I suggest to anyone that still has a belief in god to try to hold it strong cause being atheist sucks.

I disagree.
Sometimes for some people, but I myself can no longer believe anything else. It all just seems like fairy tales to me now.

Agnosticsm is a very reasonable position.
The problem with diety is the you can't prove it one way or the other.
To the "logical athiest". Give me a logical explanation on random manifestation of matter. (as in, where did everything come from in the first place)

Say what? Sorry, but I don't understand what your counter argument is(especially the second sentence). Could you try rephrasing it or something please?

So in the mean time, the idea of a diety is rejected. Thusly, we have weak atheism. We do this with the invisible pink unicorns too plus a whole slew of other fantastic claims as well. We do not give those claims any ground.

Weak atheism simply states a lack of belief in a god. It says nothing about where everything came from in the first place or whatever else. Personally, the answer to that query is "I don't know". My weak atheism only kicks in when say, the Christian god is posited as an explanation.

I'm agnostic only because I really couldn't give a shit about religion, it's not worth the time spent on it.

Who fucking knows. Scientists don't even have a theory on the absolute origin of matter. Doesn't bother me nor pique my interest; I don't see how that has ANYTHING to do with a god. Initial cause of matter != a god.

Yeah, I guess I "follow" it, although it isn't really a religion, but more an abstinence from all religion, I suppose. See, if I die, and if I were to find out that there truly is a God, then I would not want to be in an Atheist's place and in a grave error. Nor would I want to be a believer only to die and find out that I wasted so much time for something that wasn't real. However, faith can be argued the same as love: it isn't visible, how do you know it exists? Some people have a lack of love, others a lack of faith, its all relative, I guess. Sorry, I'm rather drunk and felt like rambling. I've a long week ahead of me. Can't see me girl for a week. Yeah, its not that bad, I know. But still, one whole week...

i dont know if there is a god, so i guess i would be agnostic. my idea is, if god wanted me to believe in him, why wouldn't he give me a sign? an obvious "i am god follow me" sign. i mean, following people blindly and believing everything you're told leads to unhappiness in other areas of life different from religion, so why should i be gullible only when it comes to religion.
i say, if there is a god, he wouldnt want you to spend your time worrying about whether or not he exists, he would just want you to enjoy your life and not be stressed out about. and if there isn't a god there isn't a god, thats it.

Two things:
1.)Agnosticism is not a religion, it is just a set of beliefs agknowledging that there is some super/spiritual being controling the Universe... just that we don't know what.
2.)About 50% of Totseans are Agnostic while I'd say 45% know what being Agnostic is. You fall in the 5% of Totseans don't know what it is. You seem to be a weird mix, you are Agnostic yet you don't know what it is, you ignorant dumbfuck.

You mention two opposing things: That there is no evidence of any God or therefore lack of, and that since there is no evidence for God you are an Atheist.
You must realize, there is no evidence for or against God.

Actually, the default for humans is that some spiritual being rules us. Humans have been following some type of religion since pre-history.
Only because you don't believe in the Christian God and in supernatural powers doesn't mean that you have to be an Atheist, don't you believe that there is at least some ruling force out there?

Actually, being Agnostic also sucks (although not so much as being an Atheist), because you are not sure if any Godly power can save you. You are always in doubt of things. This might sound quite foolish of me but, I'm actually afraid of going to hell, and I have no religion to follow that I believe that states that I will go to heaven.

Go fuck yourself, dumbass, there is no thing as weak Atheism. You're either an Atheist or your not.

Actually, religion is one of the most important things in the world, therefore, we should all open our minds and study it, and then make a decision about what religion you want to follow.

Similar to my own beliefs, although I also seek 'self-spiritualism'. Meaning that I follow sort of my own religion, I like to experiment with some things from the Occult and shit, but all in all, I really don't follow any religion, or believe in any God. I just believe that there is some type of Godly power out there.
