im writing a script, and one scene involves a man speaking to a priest in a confessional. if he were to say something along the lines of "i've had impure thoughts of a woman besides my wife", what would a priest say/make him do? i dont want to go to a confessional and find out for my self, so if you have any idea.

Why not ask a priest outside the confesional?

In some good, religious country, the Priest would make the cheater lay in the form of a cross in church for at least 10 minutes.

the priest would tell him that he will be forgiven if the he lets the priest babysit his children...

he would say something along the lines of You're forgiven.

no, but just imagine a really really good script, and you've almost got it.

The priest would order the man to dip his noodle in gasoline, light it on fire, only to put it out after then entire reproductive system is no longer useable, only then would the preist order him to stand outside the church naked, asking for donations.
