i feel kind of bad for jesus (http://www.angelfire.com/id/hern/). think about this; imagen if you were jesus (http://www.angelfire.com/id/hern/) for a minute. youre a philosiphor who trys to teach people about good and evil and think youre doing a good thing. then it turns out some people misinterprate what youre talking about and start a crazy religoin based soley on you. so over the millenia millions and millions of people flock to this new religion and believe that not only was jesus (http://www.angelfire.com/id/hern/) a cool dude, but hes the lord and savyer of mandkind. so what happens when all these people die and expect everything to be exactly the way they were taught? well it must shatter their fragile little world. and who do you think they must go crying to? thats right, the j man (http://www.angelfire.com/id/hern/). so youre jesus (or any other diety from any random planet who had the same shit happen to him), just tryin to chill in the afterlife, but every 5 minutes someone comes 'knockin at your door' asking why he lied to everyone. so he has to explain, in a nutshell, a lot of people are retarded and its not his fault for having people misinterprate him.
just a random thought i had. im sure glad no one thinks im god http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)

No no no.
If you want to use Christ's philosophy to live your life and ignore the spiritual side, that's one thing but make no mistake: Jesus Christ said he was God.
Jhn 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? (58) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Jhn 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.
Jhn 13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am.

but... dude... how can you actually think the bible is actually true? i could spend an hour typing out every reason why the bible isnt true, but no matter how i put it, no matter how right i may be, it wont change your or any other christians mind. its just something youll have to find out for yourself, after you die, and you meet jesus, and im standing there giggling. the only beef i have with religious fanatics is how they wont let themselvs LIVE because they fear going to hell because they didnt live their life the way someone told them to. that and how they make a point to scare children at a young age so they can make sure theyll be loyal to the religion. its fucked up. please, look at the world around you. its a lot bigger than the christian view of the world. you know true christians dont believe in other planets with intelligent beings or dinosaurs. they also think god created the world in 6 days and made man in his image. if that doesnt make you stop and think, nothing will, until the day you die anyway.
have a nice long boring life http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)
and please, for jesus' sake, dont scare kids into following his religion and dont preach it. those are two things jesus deffinetly wouldnt like.

if you want to post your "proof" go for it. my dad is an agnostic and my mom has no spiritual beliefs to speak of. when i told them i was going to start going to church they were less than thrilled.
so dont mischaraterize my faith as being forced on me by society or my parents or whatever. i began searching a long time ago and found christianity to suit me best.
I appreciate your "realistic" view of Christ, but now you need to stop. Its one thing to humanize Jesus and its quite another to put words in his mouth.

ok my last post could have been better.. my last girlfriend had parents who were uber religous freaks and i went to a calvery church and saw a LOT. namely the scarring little kids.
as for my proof, if i have time ill post it later. just to hold you over until then look at just about any anti-christian argument. for the most part theyre all the same and pretty much right. also, use logic and common sense when looking at the world in general. compair what common sense tells you and what the bible tells you.
what do you mean by "i began searching a long time ago and found christianity to suit me best"? does that mean you actually considered other religions? why did you happen to choose christianity?
what words did i put into jesus' mouth? obviosuly my first post was just a random thought and i was kind of joking around, dont take anything i said there too seriously. though i think i do make a point in general.
i thought i had more to say but im really tired.
To be fair, I don't see where Clifford put any words in Jesus' mouth.

i shouldnt have used the word "proof". there is absalutly no proof to disprove any religion. all i can say is, if you dont understand now, you will later. i dont care what you or anyone else thinks, i just cant understand it. i think the christian view of reality is a bit harsh. you know, damming people to hell and all. i could go on and on about my beliefs but theres no point. things are the way they are.
peace dude

I am by no means defending christians right now, but have you died and found out what happens?
sorry dude, but this is just one of those backgroundless attacks on christianity that make the rest of us christian haters look bad.

dude come on. the point i was making was that after we die, obviously there is an afterlife and atleast in my opinion, its obvious jesus isnt the son of (or part of?) 'god' and by no means some savior of mankind. now imagen youre way into jesus and the bible. now just pretend that, after you die, what i say is true and reality isnt based around the bible. what then would you do? probably at first youd think the devil was trying to trick you, right? so you might then seek out jesus himself and have a little word with him. right? no one has any real experience with the afterlife, therfor no one can say "this is what happens, youre wrong to think otherwise". obviously i could be way off and maybe we just cease to exist after we die. no one knows. but it seems pretty obvious to me that what i said has a good chance of being closer to reality than how christians would like to think.
