My dad has been involved with this group for the last year or so. I want you guys to check them out and tell me what you think.
I have never really cared, until I read the latest newsletter on their website, it's starting to sound cultish.
Here's the link www.MEL-ozie.com (http://www.MEL-ozie.com)
The whole idea behind it is healing yourself and people through meditative, mind practices. This in itself is obviously not a bad thing, and it's fairly intrinsical to buddhist/eastern thought. But some of it is starting to bother me.
Anyway, looking forward to your posts. (esepcially Social J, I want to hear your take on this.)

Anything that gives you happiness outside of Roman-Catholicism is a sin and definitely cult or Satan related. Or both.

What language are thteh non english newsletter written in? And what are these antena models?
Sounds like it's just meditation with some new age stuff thrown in for good measure. The "antena models" and glass pyramids in one of the pictures make them lose some credability in my eyes but at least they are not anti Western medicine. Do you think your dad is plannig a trip to Austrailia to meet the master or something?

He's made several trips, but none out of the country, mostly down to San Jose or something.
It's not affected him negatively yet. But read the "2005 Greeting" or whatever. The top point on the front page. That is what started creeping me out.
Oh, and when I find my digital camera, I'll post some pictures of our "module". It's basically a meditative device, but that's another thing that always kinda crept me out.

I see what you mean,
Not sure exactly what "people who sacrified their lives for human being". It could be a direct tranlation from whatever language the other newsletters a written in and they are refering to people who died. I doubt they are actualy talikng about ritual murders or suicides that happend recently.
EDIT: It could just be Ancestor worship.

It just seems like a fiath healing/doomsday cult, but without the hatred of science and without the want for ritual suicide...seems harmless.
3. All HUE students must store, in their homes, as much clean water as possible, and transfer energy into it in accordance with the learned formula. Further, students must store at least 10 kgs of salt and 10 kgs of sugar for each family. Water, salt and sugar will be crucial in the short future.
So by transfer energy, does he mean heat?
I can only imagine how many ants 22 pounds of sugar would attract.
Yeah, sounds like a cult, though a harmless one. The student level thing reminds me of Scientology. What level is your father?
haha found some more: http://mel-ozie.com/ors/expl/energ_trans_en.html
This is hilarious stuff.
DETAILED METHODS OF
practicing pyramid &
transferring energy to foods and drinking water
Further to the Lunar New Year (year of the Horse - 2002) Message, I give more details on the methods of transferring energy to foods and drinking water when the air becomes polluted by atom radiation, poisoned chemical, germs, etc. in order for the Human and universal energy practitioners from level 6 (with double pyramid) to practice and apply when required.
And no cult would be complete without a strange south-asian guru with a really long title. He's just ripping off the Moonies.

I hate it when people do that, you can never tell whether they're being serious or sarcastic (unless you know the person), and if you get it wrong you either sound stupid or offensive.

I don't see anything too strange about it, Tribe, my dad was into mind-body healing, at one time.
I agree, the whole "New Age" vibe it's got going on is the only thing that bothers me about it. I think a lot of the NA stuff is superfluous, IMO, all you need sometimes is meditation and practice.
