Isn't it amazing that the Bible agrees with you. Did you know that?

There are a few places in the Bible that "agree" with you, but i'll give you only one example (cuz' i know right where it is and dont have to look hard, sorry, just woke up)

Genesis 3:3-5 (NIV)

3. but God did say, `You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"

4. "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.

5. "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Notice how the serpent twisted the truth in order to trick Eve.

He starts off by saying that they wont die if they eat the fruit. Technically they didnt die that day, but that was the day that sin entered the world causing death -- they became mortal, and were able to pass mortallity on, genetically.

Then he says that they will "become like God" , "knowing good and evil". The first part is what Eve focused on-- how could she focus on the second part, if she didnt already know good and evil?

I've read a few times that scientists think that they can someday greatly increased the human life span, if not even (eventually) keep us from dying. ... Here in God's Word, we find that they may be seeing the truth...even if they are misunderstanding that truth.

Maybe you should consider not "being a god, onto yourself", and let God be the only God, all by Himself.

I agree, we are perfect. The world we have created has a niche for every type of person alive. This world supports evil and good together, and the entire range in between. It supports every emotion we have, it supports all of our desires. To find perfection, all you need to do is find a place that supports what you wish to do. And if your goal is to be with the god you believe in, you can work towards that as well. Every single one of us can find the perfect life for us if we try.

Reguarding what you said, at best, it would be the world that is perfect, not us. But the world is full of disease/destruction/death... so, not perfect either.

Why do you think bad things are imperfections? We also can make diseases, cause destruction, and bring death just as good as our planet. We are pefect for this planet, we where built to live on this planet and as other creatures die (because the planet changed meaning they are no longer perfect) others appear to adapt to the changes the plant goes through to become the new perfect creatures. When we are no longer perfect we will all die. Think of the dinosaurces they couldn't take a huge astroid hitting the earth so they all died.

So you think we are perfect? When you use the word "we", does that include yourself? Generally i do not assume the roll of "spelling police" (mainly because i am terrible at spelling, but partly, spelling is pretty petty, in a chat room or forum like TOTSE), but take the time to proof read what you wrote, if you are saying that we (including yourself) are perfect.

This is not meant as a cut, just pointing out that perfect means without flaw.

I believe that our souls have the capacity to join the Divine, essentially allowing us to become Gods. But in no way are humans even close to being perfect, far from it. And to claim that humans are perfect is ignorant. The thing to remember is that we are not Gods yet. It requires an evolution of our soul and our experience here is the first step on this long journey.

Eh I'll be my own god, I don't need anyone... What a cliché. The only way to live life is to admit your own faults and shortcoming, being humble and stuff... It's the only way you'll become a better, a good person.

Also I don't think this world supports all emotions. Some emotions I only experience in dreams, some moods I only experience in dreams... Strange it is.
