View Full Version : Does killing in war count as sins?
... or even killing as a result of self-defense. Is this a sin?
I randomly thought about Saving Private Ryan and I noticed how pvt. Jackson mumbled lines from the Bible to calm himself.

No, you can kill as much as you want during war and and its all good with god, and if its not you can repent later.
He especially loves it when you kill heathens. Even says so in the bible
Genesis 10:18
"...and ye shall go forth into the East and killeth the ragheads, and thou shalt spend an eternal afterlife in the kingdom of heaven. yay."

It doesn't say that in the Bible.

Killing is diffrent than MURDER GOD condones or ever supports killing in some cases.
Thou shalt not MURDER

I'd like to add, though, war is often waged in the name of religion even when it's really about money. The reason they do this is because it's easier to kill people if you think you're doing it in the name of god instead of in the name of money.
But, since it's all a scam...
Don't trust your government. And don't ever trust anything they tell you about war.
Cheers,

But what if you cannot differentiate between money and your god? like in america. The money says "in god we trust", and it seems that capitalism is hte new religion in america.
I'd love to kill in a war... one that I genuinely believed in, anyway.
If killing a certain amount of people would restore a golden age of tradition and light to this world, I would triple the amount necessary just to ensure its occurrence.

America is a good example of how people use religion for monetary gain.

It's not something I say lightly, but after reading your comments about masculinity in the other thread, i'm inclined to think that you've need to get and see some more of the world...
