How does Heaven work, basically for it to be called Heaven it has to be perfect correct?

So for me heaven is a place where there's hundreds of snowcovered mountains....no need for chair lifts, no need for money. Id also like to be able to ride my my dirt bike around where ever i wanted...

But then we have some old dude, who hates the snow, hates noisy bikes. How will our heavens be in teh same place? Unless...heaven doesnt exist. Every ones perception of heaven has to be different. Unless we have to live in gods heaven. And in that case id rather just be dead.

Who wants to worship him in the after life? people just do it to get in, they dont want to do it for eternity. Also think about lving life by gods morals. It'd be a boring hell hole. Just a thought, I kinda want you guys to prove me wrong, give me hope of a decent afterlife that isnt just a lie to keep people in order.

you're assuming heaven has 3 dimensions and a similar nature to this universe. and also you assume that 'heaven' exists only in the afterlife. if you think about it you may find these assumptions are false.

this thread says 'afterlife', i see questions only about heaven... futurama quote time methinks.

BENDER: Afterlife? Pfft! If I knew I had to go through a whole other life after this one, I'd kill myself right now!

Dear Santa,

This year, I only ask for one thing: arquin's corpse on my doorstep Christmas morning, run over with a dirtbike eleven times and stuffed with snow.

Thanks,

Snow boarding/Dirt bikeing for eternity? Sounds Fun. But it might get a little boring after a few billion years.

I have doubts about an actual heaven, but as of now I don't know what to believe. I believe that even if someone isn't religious they can still have some sort of good afterlife.

Heaven is supposed to be perfect. What you want, isn't what is perfect.

We live in a world where everything is material and where these material things are craved. If we live our lives understanding that God is all powerful and provides us with everything we need, we develop our spiritual understanding of God and our spiritual selves. With that being said, when we die we lose all of the material things around us and live as spirits. If you choose to live your life understanding God and living as spiritually you can, then you will not be looking for satisfaction in material things. Instead, you understand that God is all powerful and the provider off necessites and are not confused as to where to find your happiness. If you put all of your faith and "hapiness" into material things, you will be lost because they no longer exist, and so exists your hell.

that last post was pretty interesting.

However, why do we have to be spirits when we die? How is there proof of a soul?

So mastermind3k your basicly saying that when you die your spirit goes to heaven and is there for etirnaty just floating/sitting/whatever in gods presence.

Fuck that id rather go to hell.
