Every once in a while at my college we get a zealot or two who park themselves next to a busy pathway and start preaching at everyone who passes by. They usually attract a good-sized crowd, as these guys love to claim everyone in sight is going to hell.
It's not like they're really trying to convert anyone, it just seems like they're here to give everyone a laugh or make them mad. "All you fags are going to HELL!" "Mohammed is burning and begging Jesus for salvation!" Surely they don't think a bunch of educated, stubborn young people are going to be swayed by this. Is this is a common thing on college campuses?

The zealots are usually in the classrooms getting paid 60k a year.

What, you mean the religious studies professors? They frequently refer to their respective canons, at least.
But like I said, these other guys seem most interested in hootin' and hollerin'. My town attracts them like flies.

Certan profs that said that if we questioned thier nhilist viewpoint they would fail us. They have turned atheisum/evolution/social constructs into their own religion.
Btw I woulden't most/all of the religous profs be neocons?

That's been my experience so far.
And I don't know what atheism and evolution have directly to do with nihilism, but in this life you can find assholes everywhere you turn. Though I think they're pretty stupid, I'll bet you won't find most of those professors hanging out on sidewalks shouting at anyone who passes by.
That experience of yours really sucks, now that I think about it. Did you report them to the dean? The only time I ever thought a professor should fail someone for disagreeing with them is when the person wouldn't shut the fuck up about it in lecture and quit wasting everyone else's time.

We have people hand out Bibles from time to time at my college, never any preaching. I guess it is a community college, so it probably doesn't attract much attention.

#1: You've never been to college.
#2: Learn to spell.
#3: NEVER attend a theological seminary.
