Seriously though, when the OT talks about titheing, the practice meant something entirely different to what it means today. Todays tithe is more akin to the Temple Tax that was prescribed in the Torah.
The tithe was actually money that went to supporting the needy in the community- providing food, clothing, shelter etc. . Thats why you see the prohpets and God cracking the shits about people not paying a tithe- it meant they were neglecting the poor and the disadvantged.
