God wanted to have a relationship with something. So He created man in his likeness. The world isn't perfect because He didn't think we should be robots.

I think God created man so that he could express himself in each facet of his character, e.g. grace, judgement, love, hate, discipline, humor, etc. and glorify himself thereby.

Yeah, he let sin come in through the devil. Even the devil is just a tool, that is if God is omnipotent and such.

He did create us in his image. Exactly my point, we're not copies, but subjects. Subjects can rebel against their ruler, just like we did. Sin is simply going against the design that God set forth for things to work. When the design, or natural law, is violated, problems arise within the natural design.
