View Full Version : Afterlife...
This has always been my theory on the afterlife (not always, but for quite awhile now). Whatever you think will happen, will happen. Those that believe in heaven and hell will forever spend time in which one they think they belong in. Those that believe in reincarnation will be born again, and die again, and again until they reach nirvana. Those that don't believe in anything will just cease once they die.
My logic behind it really isn't all that well developed, just a gut feeling. We all know how our minds can play tricks on us. What if right when we die, before our brain completely stops, it freezes our thinking in that last second, for eternity?

I noticed. For you to continue to exist after death, some sort of soul would be necessary, thereby suggesting the existence of some sort of god.
cest possible though

Or you could be right about whatever you mental concept of heaven is, is exactly what you will experience.
I read a book by Robert monroe. In one of the chapters, he was out of the body. IE astral projecting. Anyways he met someone who had just died. He followed along with this person until the person suddenly disappeared.
Monroe realized that this man went to an area that was his concept of heaven. At that point he became aware of many different areas all around him. Each was someones idea of heaven.
Whether this is true or not, I don't know. I konw that Mr. Monroe started his institute in Virginia that teaches people how to project on their own.

HI, natures law, or karma is very interesting. IF you want to begin to understand reincarnation try reading about the story of Jud Bharata in www.SrimadBhagavatam.org (http://www.SrimadBhagavatam.org) or A Second Chance http://www.hare-krishna.org/srila-prabhupada-books.htm ~~Free downloads of books

I already know quite a bit about reincarnation and nirvana (at least as much as I care to), because I study Buddhism quite in depth for about a year or two...
Ok, perhaps my wording was a bit off mksnow... What I was saying was that right before you die, when you lose contrl of your body, but your brain is still alive, that your thoughts get frozen in that one moment, forever. Time just stops for you, and your mind projects whatever you believe will happen...
