Jesus was the son of Mary and Joseph, was raised a Jew and became a Rabbi. Jesus had siblings. Most notable of whom is the Apostle James. On Jesus’ death James took over the Essene sect; which was essentially messianic Judaism.

The Apostles Peter and Paul decided that in order for this cult to spread it would have to abandon some overt Jewish traditions e.g. circumcision. The Essene’s disappeared into history, and the McReligion went forth to become the Roman Catholic Church.
