View Full Version : Why did God create humans?

I mean seriously. Why create us when we are going to destroy ourselves anyways. There are so many nuclear weapons in the world. We could all be dead over night. I just think God created us because he wanted a specially smart creature to fuck with and torture. And I bet ,if he is actually there, that he is getting a kick out of no matter how bad he fucks with us. We still believe and worship him. Not all humans do. But a good majority. It's really sad.

You're applying human standards to something inhuman.

God created humanity to have a personal relationship with us.

Sin got in the way, and made a division between the perfection of a holy God and the sinfulness of humankind.

God knew we couldn't save ourselves, so He sent Jesus to pay to penalty for our sins, so we could be restored into fellowship with Him.

That's true. However, it does say we're created in his image, it implies he walks, and at a certain point even implies that we are all like him "the gods". So, one could argue that may be he is similiar enough.

According to the bible, it sounds like he creates us simply out of boredom. He wasn't satisfied with his creation of the angels and wanted to create something more like himself.

Cheers,

Lost

I guess it(not he) wanted something with will and creativity, like itself. That's my guess. Or it's just a lonely bastard.

I read in the bible that the number of mankind and the number of the beast were one in the same. 666. So what does that mean. Hhhmmmm. Let's ponder. Well according to this we are one in the same as Satan.

Being as the beast IS mankind, not the devil, nor Lucifer, nor Satan, your argument is null.

But 666 is the number of Satan.

Have you read the bible? Because that last statement makes it blaringly obvious you don't know shit about it even if you have.

That really doesn't answer the question.

Why would he create us to have a personal relationship with us?

I think the particular god you're talking about felt left out 'cause the other gods had already created people who were loyal to them. So this god created a lab called eden and placed his own humans into it to prove he could do better. When they disappointed him, he kicked them out and they interbred with the 'other people' mentioned in Genesis. Then he entertained himself for a while getting the others discredited and himself declared the 'only' god. Then he got tired of devine politics, got bored with earth, and moved on.

My thoughts exactly. Although christianity (and other religions?), state that god created us in his image, to me, this is a very silly concept, and seems pretty obviously wrong.

Makes one wonder where these "other people" came from.

Agreed. Though I was trying to not-assume he was referring to the Christian God.

God didn't create humans. Humans created the idea of God.

One could speculate about that for a lifetime.

Suffice it to say that He did create us, and the purpose of our creation is to have a relationship with us.

Why is the "why" so important to you ?

Because a lot of humans are't exactly happy with a blunt explination. This is a very scientific era and every has got to be explained. That's one on the things I like about this time era.
