has anyone read 'the da vinci code' here? is the holy grail really thousands of documents and the tomb of mary magdaline? if so then why do you follow the bible if you know the new testament is mostly lies? and could a royal line from Jesus still exist today? lots of questions! hopefully i will get some answers!

Ive read the "da vinci code" its a great book. Thats what dan brown believes and that the reason the vatican is lying is so that way they can stay in power, if there was a true son/daughter of jesus, they could tear down the church.

yeah, anyone read up on the credibility of this book? I thought it was great, but as far as accuracy of it's ideas goes, I just don't know. Someone please share some knowledge. I don't want to filter through hundreds of critiques on hundreds of different websites.

*pft*

I believe Monty Python has a far better account of the Holy Grail...

Seriously though, I haven't read it, but I've heard it was interesting. Supposedly there are some major discrepancies in it though compared to real life, mostly involving Leonardo Da Vinci himself.

I havn't read the book so I can't say somethings... but I do believe that the book was based off of da Vinci's paintings not off of the real facts. Its all a theory. First off the book (again from what I know of it) is a theory of the paintings. Secondly the paintings are a theory of the holy grail, mary magdaline and of christ's child. A theory based on a theory isn't a firm foundation. Though I do enjoy learning about such arguments and ideas. Also the Knights Templar is one of my favorite history topics to learn about. I don't think there is enough facts right now or ever to prove any of these theories.
