Edit: firstly sorry, i cleary cant spell religion :P but theres no way to edit it.

I was born a catholic but ive kinda left it behind, but i still beleive catholicism is gods religion because it is the only religion to have had miracles after the bible era. Example - padre peo, who had the stigmata for most of his life.

the catholic church may have lost some of its ideals, but they still take the supernormal VERY seriously. If a priest wants to perform an exorcism, he cant do it unless the bishop knows. When did you last hear of a rabbi who performed an exorcism? prodestants, well your religion was made up by a fuckin king who wanted to get divorced so they dont have any miracles, jehovas witnesses.. pfft, no miracles.

Catholiscism is the right religion. They are the ones who deal with the shit that happens the average person doesnt even hear about, and wouldnt understand if they did.

I also sort of like the fact that the Catholic Church still deals with things like that. I'm by no means a Catholic, but it is sort of nice to see.

ever heard of Orthodoxy? yeah still has miracles happening. Originally one and hte same as Catholicism until everyone threw a hissy fit and the schism happened. trust me miracles still happen. ever seen a painting that cried oil? well a couple summers ago i was in Ukraine in the village of Boian and i saw an icon of the Theotokos (virgin Mary) that had cried tears of oil. scientist apparently couldnt even explain it. miracle? id say so because the story goes that a womans son was on his deathbed with no chances of survival and when she prayed to the icon(before the tears) he was healed and then the icon started crying and tons have attributed healings to praying at that icon.

also theres the Miracle of the Holy Fire. google it. Catholic bishops have tried it. only works for Othodox.

The protestant religion is not soley based upon a 'fucking king who wanted to get divorced'. Firstly he wanted his marriage annuled as in not recognised due to biblical technicalities about marrying your brothers wife. Secondly the Lutheran tradition started in 1517 and was not strongly influenced by the English protestants.

1. Protestantism has multiple sects, of which the Anglican church is merely one.

2. Catholicism isn't the only religion to have recent miracles.

3. Just because Catholicism rules over the other Christian sects doesn't make it the 'right religion'.

You do have to admit that protestantism was wrongly made.

Anyone who went against the pope and killed catholic monks and re-wrote the bible, should have been killed.

There's been modern miracles attributed to non Judeo-Christian religions you know.

Like this Muslim girl was crying tears of glass shards or something (Not sure about the significance of that, but she didn't get cut at all). And awhile ago little statues of Vishnu (a Hindu God) were "drinking" milk.

All seems very odd to me.

The way Catholicism works is anti-Christian in and of itself. And ask your priest if demons/Satan can perform miracles (teleportaion of Satan and Christ during temptation). If he says yes then there is your "reasonable doubt" and if no, then your priest isnt a very good Bible scholar.

The idea of a Catholic church with its ritual and raised status of priests is very much against the spirit of Jesus Christ who fought against the Pharisses. How does a priest gain authority to redeem people before death? How can a priest be responsible for souls? Christians were meant to be moving away from the ritualistic and superstious pagan 'religious' dominating that era. I believe the Catholic church only reinstates that.

Better not celebrate Easter, then. Or Christmas.

Miracle or phenomenon? I mean, there are certain people who have unexplainable talents... I have an aunt you can move any kind of liquid without touch it. No one knows why she can do it, but no one calls her a saint.

I'm closing this post for no logical reason.

Just because I can.

Cheers,
