Hypothetical question for those of you who believe there is an afterlife, and especially for those of you who consider yourselves devout Christians:

God comes to you in a dream and informs you that under no circumstances will you be admitted into Paradise/Heaven/(Happy Eternity). You are condemned to Destruction/Hell/(Poopy Eternity). This decision wasn't made for any particular reason. You didn't kill any babies or slap your Grandmother. God tells you that He/She still loves you, but...you're shit outta luck.

Would you live the same way? Would you continue being devout? Is your motivation love and dedication or fear of the afterlife?

Well yeah, all you can really do is be true to your own moral compass anyway!

If your only good becuase you want to get into heaven your not really being good, just self serving http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)

Hell, maybe its like a test and gods all like "Hmmmm, thisa guy seems ok, but I need to be sure, I'll tell him he's destined for the fiery pits of hell, then if he still helps old ladies across the streets and shit I might change my mind"

That's an interesting question. I'm by far no devout christian, but I can pretty confidently say I probably would live my life rather similarily. I might take a couple people out, but probably not.

Cheers,
