that the pope died. Yup, its gonna really show that when even when millions of dumb/ignorant people believe in a fairytale such as a prayer to nothing that the pope, a mammal just like EVERY other human will die, nothing special. What the fuck are they praying for.

Because they think it will help.

The funny part is, most believers state:" The reason why our prayers aren't answered is because God has soo many prayers to deal with!" Well, many people are praying for one thing in the world and hes gonna die anyways, doesnt this fucking show something or prove something?

Hmmm, i dont think i have ever heard that one. And rightly, shouldnt have. Because, you see, God is all powerful.

The one i've heard often though is that if God doesnt answer prayer, it is because the person praying doesnt have enough faith. And although this is pointed to in the Bible, it is incomplete. What it assumes is God is ones own personal "genie" and that "unanswered" prayer needs more faith i.e. the person praying needs to help God out... the Soveriegn God.

Well, many people are praying for one thing in the world and hes gonna die anyways, doesnt this fucking show something or prove something?

When i said that that concept is is biblically incomplete, i mean that the Bible says that all things are the Will of God. And also, even when a prayer seems to be unanswered, sometimes a "No" or a "Wait" is an answer to a prayer.

Let me put these concepts into a poor example: One of my kids asks me for a car of her very own...please. I say no, not yet. And she says, "but i said please". I tell her no again, because she is too young.

Now with the concepts pointed out above:

kid asks for car = 'prayer'

she adds please = 'faith'

i say no, not yet = 'prayer answered in the negative'

"but i said please" = 'trying to show she has enough faith'

And another thing, if God did answer all prayers in the affirmative, that would be giving proof of His existance, but it would be negating our ability of choosing to believe in Him.... which means that our choice would not be a choice but an exchange... it would be belief in exchange for 'genie' granted favors...

The Sorveriegn God should not have to buy His subjects or His subjects love.

Didn't Jesus say not to pray for things and just say the lord's prayer because God knows what you want?

Sadly, you are at least slightly ignorant in this too. They aren't praying for him not to die. They are praying that when he does die it is without pain and that he gets a warm welcome into the Kingdom of God.

can you show book/chapter/verse? I think you might have the gist of it, but I think there is more to that.

5“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Okay, so basically what you are all saying is that there is really no way to win. Think of it in the terms of George Carlin:

"I don't pray to god, I pray to Joe Peschi, the anwser rate seems to be half and half either way. If I pray to god that my neighbors dog shuts up, nothing happens. But when I pray to Joe, he comes and hits it with a bat."

You might as well just give up, noone is gonna win this argument because noone is willing to take anyone else's viewpoint into perspective.

I don't wanna ramble anymore.

There prayers and tears are all fake. The man did the best job he could on earth and now they are mourning him? It is the other way around. The ignorance of these people.
