Is it possible to Astral Project out of the body to temporarily go to Hell? If so, isn't this very much like Mediumship??

Well, you're assuming Hell is an actual place - or, I guess, if you're astral projecting it could just be a state of being... And you're trying to get to this supposed place, that can't be proven exists, through an incredibly unlikely mode of transportation. You might as well try to tesseract there.

I can't believe I'm even replying to this...

Cheers

Lost hit it on the head - assuming there *is* a hell, it is possible to project there.

However, according to my understanding, "hell" as it is described in the bible, as well as most other accepted texts - is a state of mind, so to speak.

Not to say there isnt a place where the Luciferic beings, and Lucifer himself do not reign, but traveling to these places couldnt be done through Astral Projection - or at least not 'normal' Astral Projection. As the Astral Plane is a plane in and of itself, though it's fairly reflective to this plane; as it's very closely bound to this plane. The planes where the Luciferic beings, and Lucifer himself reside are - theologically speaking - *VERY* far apart from the Astral Plane.

In short - is it possible? Theoretically, yes. Is it probable? or even plausible? No way in hell. (pun intended)

P.S. Note - all of this is from my own studying, and springs from my own beliefs and experience in these matters. If there's a fault in my understanding - it's my fault, of course, but there's no proving or disproving really, so accept my statements, or disregard them. No hard feelings if you think I'm nuts http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)

I think hell is more of a state of consciousness rather than a place.

Maybe hell is being utterly afraid of god rather than in love with him.
