Is it possible that the mythical Atlantis could very well be the Old World mentioned in the Bible during the days of Noah before the Flood?

Probably not, Atlantis was an advanced civilization that sank into the sea, and was reported to be westward of Africa. From what I remember of the story of Noah, that's a wiping the world clean, and happened round the Mediteranian(sp) sea. The greeks themselves have a myth that originated around the same time as the story of Noah, I believe I heard about on the History Channel. While, they're investigations into the story of Atlantis, they learned it from the Egyptians, who learned it from a survivor. That's only if I recall what I've heard correctly though, so yeah, don't take it as the divine truth, obviously.

Yeah, thats sounds pretty much true, but from what i hear, the exact location of atlantis wasnt certified yet.I googled it, and many geocities websites showed of possible correlations betoween the tow, but they're pretty much personal websites with personal opinions that some one easily could of made up out of boredom.

I would think a logical place would be somewhere near the bermuda triangle. Unless they got to the bottom of the ocean and drilled into the earth and are now controlling it from the inside.

I do believe the Noah story comes from Sumerian myth.

Atlantis was supposedly in the center of the Atlantic Ocean. About 15,000 years ago( remember this is a myth) Indians, had fought the Atlanians, it was a massive war which ended in the destuction of Atlantis, something about a huge bomb going off. I'll add more to this when I have time.

Correct Me if I am incorrect but-

1-Indians were not around 15,000 years ago

2-It must be impossible for a city to survive in the middle of the ocean...How did they get there? Where did the building materials come from? And a bomb 15,000 years ago?

What's very interesting and supports the idea of the thread starter is that nearly every religion around the world has a story of a huge flood happening some time in the distant past. I remember reading something on a physics site a while ago which said that the Earths magnetic poles could have shifted at some point in the past, and if the Earth realigned itself then the seas (whose motion is influenced by the gravitational pull of the moon) could have changed dramatically.

Another thing is that the remains could easily be huge and sitting at the bottom of the Atlantic and we would have never noticed it. We know more about the stars than we do about our oceans.

Not Indians as like the ones in America, but (Hindu). And don't ask me how they got there how they built their building, cause I don't know. I just shared some stuff that I've read.
