Well, if you're a male over the age of 18 and a citizen of the United States, you are signed up for Selective Service (when you register to vote, or pay your taxes for the first time).

Which means that anything the US government wants to go to war for, you will be a part of, if they call you to serve (even if you don't agree with it). You are required to, and can't get out of it.

How is this so different from the boys that were forced to join the Nazi Youth ?
